Not just a great activity for the beginning of the year or term, but a great way to teach Venn Diagrams. This worksheet is a brilliant start of the year or term activity when you need to get the children engaged in dialogue with others outside of their immediate friendship group. Children LOVE to share information about themselves, as well as find common and own interests. This worksheet does all that, as well as making for a great display to have everyone really get to know each other. A nice easy way to teach Venn Diagrams too! Only $1.

Level 1 English WRITING Victorian Curriculum

We have checklists for the subject area of English for Foundation to Level 3 so far! How do we use them? Easy, we know from the curriculum standards and the easy to read ‘I Can’ statements what is expected for the students to fulfil the level. Therefore these are not just a checklist, they are report comments-copied and pasted into our databanks, they are a way of groups students according to their learning point of need AND they are one of our resources for termly and weekly planning. Sound like something you could use?

Level 3 English WRITING Checklist Victorian Curriculum

Here we have for you a Level 3 (Grade 3, Grade 2 Extension students, Grade 4 Additional needs students) checklist for the Victorian Curriculum area of writing. Is the Victorian Curriculum the same as the Australian Curriculum? Yes I believe so, as for a brief moment there, we were but one curriculum joined in unity, before we Victorians boldly tore away from the breast of the Mother Nation! Each checklist is in a Excel format so you can tweak it to suit the needs of your school – you may want to add, or delete. Let’s face it, just because its in the curriculum doesn’t mean it needs to have a tick box and a tick. We use the checklist as a planning tool for our termly and weekly planners too.
